Almost 2 weeks old

Ok everyone here is the lates update!!! I was talking to the doctor yesterday and they are thinking of moving the boys up to the 7th floor which is the graduate NICU, a level 2 NICU, which means that the boys are needing less atttention and care cuz they rock!! The doctor also asked me if I had any questions and I told her that when the boys were born, I was expecting alot more chaos around them. I had expected to have alot more problems with their hearts or kidneys, I was even prepared for brain bleeds and seizures!! I was not prepared for them to exceed all expectations and to be moving up to the 7th floor and about 2 weeks old!! The doctor said that when they found out I was delivering they had really been expecting alot more complications from the boys than what they were having to and everyone is pleasantly surprised to see them doing so good!! We still understand that we are on the preemie rollar coaster and there could still be setbacks and we are ok with that, but this first week has been a very positive experience and a good start for the boys!!
As of last night, Camdan was weighing in at 2 lbs 8 oz and Ean was weighing in at 2 lbs 5 oz!! They are only ounces away from their birth weight already and we are waiting for them to hit that 3 lb club!!! They are now on what they call a vapo-therm which has the oxygen going throught the nasal canulas with similar pressure that the CPAP was giving them! They are starting to ween their oxygen level down and they are hoping that within the next couple of weeks they may be on room air or just humidified oxygen!!! They still have their feeding tubes and they are getting more and more breast milk every day!! Pumping rocks by the way :( They both are surprising the nurses with special diapers and sucking on their binkies!!!
Camdan is very laid back and just chills during his cares. He is not bothered by the nurses and he has only pulled out his feeding tube once when he was like 3 days old. He is bigger than Ean and everyone can tell!!! He is starting lose some of that fine monkey hair all over his body and since he is off the billi lights he loves to be swaddled and enjoys being held by mommy and daddy!!!
Ean on the other hand is naughty!! He pulls his feeding tube out about daily!! If it is not his feeding tube it is his oxygen tubes! He is not afraid to kick and flair at the nurses or the doctors when they are messing with him and he is not one to stay still!! He has been found turned sideways in his incubator and more than once he has pulled his leads off of his chest!! They think that he is gaining weight slower than his brother because he never stays still!! Now that he is off the billi lights they can swaddle him and try to contain him!! What a silly boy!!
We want to thank everyone again for their support and prayers!! We could not go through the days without them!! We love you all!!
